I've searched Boilerplate to get reference on the armour set in Dungeons of Dredmor, and found this beautiful hoax. This one guy made a model of a "victorian robot" he calls Boilerplate, and he's photoshopped the robot model in lots of historical pictures and put them on his site, along with a whole lot of lore about its alleged creator and the "mechanical marvel"'s achievements through history. There's even a comic biography on the robot in which he fights in many great wars.
