Hopefully I'm not double posting on a reported bug, but I searched and couldn't find any mention of this. Closest one was the thread on armor absorption. I've tried this on a few characters now and the same things happen. When I'm level 1 the counter chance and critical chance stats are affected by items and any character level higher than 1 they're dropped to zero and are only affected by taking skills that boost them. The skill list I'm using is: Dual Wield Battle Geology Alchemy Archaeology Shield Bearer Burglary Perception Here are screenshots of my character with and without a fedora on and one point in dual wielding as an example.
Can you post a step by step on how you achieve this? We've wanted to resolve this bug for a while now and nobody had a way to clearly do it.
The best step by step I can give is that: - I have the "You Have To Name The Expansion Pack" and named it. - I picked the skills in the order stated in thirst post. (Or have clicked the "last" button when I restarted this after noticing the problem). - I took perception as the first skill when the stat reduction occurs. I also tried restarting the game and steam, doing the same steps above, and it still occurs. Sorry that i can't give more info than this :/ I haven't died in the game shown above yet, so I could upload the save if that's wanted.
Are you aware that Plutonic Fist drops your by 70 and by 35? Just the order of how things are evaluated forces your skills to come after it is truncated to zero.
You sir, are a genius while I'm a mere forgetful moron. *facepalm* EDIT: But, there is still some bug here. That being the case, I shouldn't have 3 in my counter chance from the dual wield skill. Unless skill upgrades are counted differently from the general pool?
