My game suddenly froze on me while I was playing and now anytime I try loading up my file the game crashes. I am extremely worried because this character is permadeath / going rogue difficulty. I'm at level 9 deep with almost all 10 star quality items, score over 800k and i've been on this file for over 25 hours.

Please help I don't want to lose this character D:

Can you upload your charactername.dredmorsave folder inside a zip?

I don't know if this is a problem but it's the autosave. I forgot to mention I also have a .DMP file that was created during my crash would this be helpfull?

hmmm for some reason it says the DMP file is empty but I have received a few DMP files this month. I'll send those, maybe its linked to why my game is crashing all the time.

I poked Nicholas, we'll see what he says.

Nicholas looked at it, there's nothing we can do unfortunately.

It looks like some kind of Steam Cloud screwup, because the level your character is on isn't the level it should be, instead an entirely different savegame, apparently.

Sorry for the delay in answering.

The lesson here is to turn 0ff steamcloud if you're going to play Dungeons of Dredmor, as it is by far the number one (though not the only) cause of lost and corupted saves
