I don't know if this is a feature or a bug, but when I enter a shop for the first time and my inventory is full, then when this skill is triggered I'm shown the item I've stolen but then it disappears. Very frustrating being shown something you'd like to have only for it to be whisked away by the diggle gods the next second. At least drop the thing on the floor like with vending machines.
