Just a little addition that I think would be useful - If you have, for example, a helmet equipped and a helmet in your inventory - You can hold shift or ctrl on the inventory item and a tooltip of your currently equipped item will be displayed alongside the inventory item tooltip just so we can compare the stats of two items without having to juggle between inventory / character panel.
Yes this has been brought up a lot, aswell as being able to see the stats of weapons/items you would craft. I am sure these will be implemented within the next few updates.
