Hey, I know there were some threads about this around December and the bug was supposedly fixed, but every time I try to load a save file, modded or not, my game crashes. Is there any way to solve this?
Stupid question time then. I think I should, if Steam's doing its job updating, but is there any way for me to check?
It would say on the main menu, bottom left corner. If it's correct, then please upload one of these breaking saves as it's very weird.
I made sure I had the right version and it's still happening, unfortunately. I tried creating other characters and had the same experience. Yup, have Diggle Gods. Whatever's causing this is making the game crash on character creation occasionally too, now, if that helps at all.
I passed it on to the devs. Meanwhile, I guess I would suggest reinstalling, since you seem to be the one having this issue somehow. Any luck with that?
Tried it twice, and it seems to be working now that I've just not turned any mods on, but I'm afraid I'll quit and won't be able to load this character either. I guess I'll just mess around with it and see if I can find out if a specific one is causing the problem. Thanks for the support.
I'm having this same problem after multiple reinstalls and I have 0 mods. I can make a new character just fine, but if I try to load any file DoD immediately crashes with the message "Dungeons of Dredmor has stopped working"
