Is anyone getting crashes i keep getting random ones like sometimes the game just closes and nothing happens or it crashes on saves i can never get past day 3 or the game crashes before the updates i could go to at least like a pop of 30 help please
yep thats what im using and the game crashes every so often usally by the 3rd day i thought it was fixed
Check out today's blog post - looks like a lot of the crashes are due to the job system which is being revamped...
Go to documents/gaslamp games/clockwork empires/ they should be in there. Just grab the latest few according to date modified and you can attach them to a post.
Right-click the game's entry in Steam, Properties. Betas tab. Set the dropdown for the beta you want to opt into to "experimental -" (no code required). The game should then show with [experimental] next to its name, once it updates to that version you should see "39B" markers in the launcher and the game itself when started. You will still get the monthly updates as normal, as well as automatically get any further test releases when they're out, eg. 39C.
The game is still under heavy development, so it's going to be crashy for awhile. There are a bunch of new bugs due to a major code rewrite, the next build or so will have a lot of those squashed though. Just have to enjoy the ride as Gaslamp isn't near finished with all they plan on putting into the game!
ight will do i just read somewhere that they fixed the random crashes so i thought it was me and that i could fix it should be a good game tho. i just wish they would add military tasks like setting patrol jobs or guarding jobs so that u could organize a way of protecting ur colony its hard to manage without having direct control. Thanks for all the help tho everyone.
