I just want to see if anyone have any ideas for animals or monsters that would like to see in Clockwork Empires. My Ideas: -Ghouls: scavengers who eat corpses -Dinosaurs -MoleMen or RatMen -SerpentMen or Reptilians -Little Folk: Fairies, Goblins, Trolls, Etc; may kindnap children and replace them with Changelings -Wendigo- spirit that possesses cannibals and turns them into flesh eating beasts -Tribal Cannibals or Headhunters -Giant Arachnids: Spiders & Scorpions -Crystalline or Stone Creatures -Fungus Men or Creatures -Carnivorous Plants -Primative Animals: Dire Wolves, Cave Bears, Saber Cats, Terror Birds, Etc. -Neanderthals -Aliens: may abduct people and mutilate cattle -Carnivorous Apes -Sasquatch or WildMen: may kidnap women -Ghosts: scare colonists and may possess objects -Automatons -Troglodytes or Morlocks: Blind albino humanoids that live underground -Werebeasts -Undead: Zombies, Vampires, etc. -Mutants: created from experiments from insane scientists
Clockwork Empires does have a "Victorian Steampunk mixed with Cthulhu Mythos" Background. Not sure half your list will work for that. However, Lycantropes/Vampires would fit superbly - they could infect your underlings and turn them hostile at strangest times. We have seen something like that with fishy transformation (havent had one yet, I keep failing (hard) before it happens) though, so I dont really think it adds all that much. But they would fit into the Victorian Era thing. What would fit the Cthulhu Mythos stuff is usual (besides the Fish People) and cultists which both are all in the game already. Stuff like Shoggoths would probably wipe your entire colony off the map if just one came. And even if they didnt, they'd drive everyone left completely insane, which basically is the same thing. Mi-Go would be fun, I guess. Serpent People... Ghasts... Its up to the creators really, and how much they can actually delve into the the Mythos without getting insane or sued. Or insanely sued. Draw some inspiration from this picture, will you? Google the names, which is always fun.
