Hey guys. I'm rather surprised that no one has reported this yet, but: Monsters in damage fields (fire, toxic, brimstone, acid, etc) will not move out of the field and continue taking damage so long as a movement (WSAD) key is being held down. This is particularly obvious with promethean or psionics--using gog's tactical pyre or pyrokinesis and immediately moving after the spell is cast will essentially one-shot mobs if you don't stop walking; they'll spend the rest of their lives in the damage field, or until it wears out. That nuance aside, this bug also has other problems, usually when killing a monster in this way triggers: 1) A level-up. 2) A quest reward. 3) A monster zoo reward. Mild cases will cause the character to keep walking in a direction until the screen is clicked; severe cases will cause the game to crash altogether. Also, certain animations (such as the gnome casting animation) playing during this bug will cause the character to walk in place indefinitely, requiring a forced shutdown with the task manager. This bug is perfectly reproducible and I'm surprised I'm not seeing it on the front page of this forum.
Yep, have got this plenty. In fact my game froze today due to a gnome casting animation. With that said, the games memory usage shot up to over 1gb so I thought it was a memory leak of some sort. Edit: Was able to produce the most severe case perfectly. Killed a named monster via fire rune, got a quest reward, game crashed.
