Good morning, I believe that the changelog said that Deadshot had its benefits pushed off into Perception and Archery (for some reason there it's labeled as "Crossbowery"? The skill tree in-game lists it as "Crossbows". So many words...). I don't have the numbers from the previous skill trees, but here's what they currently are: Code: Deadshot Archery Perception Crit | Dodge Reduc. Crit | Dodge Reduc. Crit | Dodge Reduc. LV1 1 | 5 1 | 2 | 3 LV2 1 | 5 | | LV3 2 | 5 1 | 8 | LV4 | | | 3 LV5 | 4 | 6 | 3 With Deadshot, we'd have 4 in Crit by LV3 of the skill tree, and 15 in enemy dodge reduction. While we end up having the same numbers in dodge reduction by LV3 if we take *both* Archery and Perception, we have 2 less in Crit at that point. Not having the earlier numbers, I can only assume that the other 2 we're missing are more than made up for by the LV5 bonus in Archery. I understand that this was all a balancing move, and thank you for researching what is necessary to make the game better to play. What made you break the skill out into those 2 particular skills? I'm not questioning your decision to eliminate Deadshot, I'm just wondering about the logic behind the redistribution. Do most players who choose Crossbowery (heh...seriously, I LOVE that word and think it should be the official skill name) also choose Perception? Or was there some greater cog at work in the complex machinations that that determined this breakout?
Seeing as deadshot was kind of themed for buffing ranged attacks (but amusingly was only good for melee) and both crossbows and perception were terrible... But they didn't exactly break it and split the skills. Deadshot had Bleeding Out and uh, that other skill, that were useless if you took any weapon tree (except crossbow). And enemy dodge reduction fit well in perception IMO
I took only Crossbowery as a weapon (and it was RATHER kickin'), that's why I notice I guess most of the support skills are meant to support a range of other skills and not just one tree though, right? In that light, it makes a lot of sense to remove/split it.
Actually, I feel a two-birds-one-stone situation here. Maybe we should give the lower levels of Perception some sort of "see your enemy's weak spots" procs akin to Bleeding Out and Crippling Strike. That way Perception wouldn't be quite as boring, and Deadshot's two 'real' procs will still exist.
Hmm perception could get a cooldown skill as a strike that bypass all armors ? Like, you see the ennemy's weakpoint and hit right there.
