It's a bit hard to tell exactly what happened, but I had a belt on my character and one in my inventory. I right-clicked the belt to swap them out but instead the one from my inventory was equipped and the other belt simply vanished. However it still seems to be reflected on my stats. So it looks like I ate a belt. The belts where a Belt of Iron Plates and a Trapper's Toolbelt.
I did the EXACT same thing. I right clicked to equip the trappers belt and it ate my belt of iron plates. Later on I found another belt of iron plates and right clicking it to equip it ate my trappers belt! I'm scared to equip another cheap belt just for testing for fear or eating another. I'm on level 9 and traps are much scarier without my trappers!
Similar thing happened to me last evening, except with the Wizard's Sleeves (with ton of stats on it, got as quest reward) item. Tried rightclicking it from inventory to see if they actually equip anywhere now in 1.0.8, instead mr. Eyebrows seemingly ate them, poof they went.
Was just coming over to this forum to report this bug. I've lost two wizard sleeves I got as quest rewards and one of my belts that I bought from a store this way in my current game.
Hmmm I just remembered this is in fact a pretty old bug. Belts were not there obviously but I got a couple wizard sleeves to disappear when right clicking them.
Perhaps because there isn't a sleeve slot? So the game tries to equip them and instead makes them vanish. Of course still doesn't explain the hunger for belts. I've experimented and I haven't been able to repeat the event so far, but then again I haven't gotten a hold of the same pair of belts yet.
Managed to duplicate the bug, this time it was a trapper's toolbelt replacing a champions belt...perhaps it's a bug with the toolbelt specifically? I was looking this time though and I've definitely kept the stats of the original belt, so it's actually massively beneficial, but definitely a bug.
