Diptheria always crashes

This item isn't from a mod, right? So this is the right place to complain about this, right?

Because I play on a netbook, my game often crashes whenever I do certain things like throw a wildfire potion, or a Holy Hand Grenade, or a squid bolt into a monster zoo. I guess when the game is tripping over its own feet trying to make everything happen, it just falters and dies.

So Diptheria (I can't remember how to spell it) obviously crashes my game, but I tested throwing it at a monster that was right in my face. There's no way it hit more than that monster and me, and I got the same result when I tried it again.

Is there anything to be done about this?

    welp okay.

is there anything to be done about the game crashing when I overtax it with trying to make damage and graphics happen?

This is the first time I've heard anything about it, I don't really have any suggestions unfortunately. Are you sure it's cause you're on a netbook?

it is totally consistent and i'm very surprised that other people with machines that are pieces of shit haven't reported it. The most common offenders are wildfire flasks. Bolts of Squid sometimes cause problems too. Basically the game falls all over itself--stuff happens out of order etc.

Pester Fax, then. And either way, first make sure where the item that crashes the game is from, and then complain.

Gaslamp can't gaurantee the content from mods will be free from crashes. If you have reason to believe something from a mod is causing a crash, it is better to contact the maker of the mod who probably has a thread in the completed mods section of the modding forum.

Yes, I've mentioned this bug to Fax in the Faxpax mod thread a while back. My solution was to simply lutefisk those problematic items when I find them.

And my PC is fairly good and modern (less than a year old) so it has nothing to do with that.
