does housing get claimed?

    I put down 3 houses for lower class bunkhouse (working flax yet to put cots in) was about to go through and start putting in a full on subdivision, but nobody had claimed the houses that had been there for at least 10 days.

    ???

    No, they aren't. Colonists will use available cots/beds as they need them, first come, first horizontal.

    I believe that this was stated to be a planned feature at some point on the blog.
