In a current random GR game I opened up a save where I had a wyrmling summoned. I was being attacked and I decided to summon another wyrmling closer to my target. The end result was two identical pets. Re-summoning just replaces second wyrmling. I haven't tried duplicating exploit. Anyone else experience this?
Yeah, that's known. The pet that was around when you saved the game isn't as effective of a meatshield since monsters mostly ignore it. As a side-effect, it never changes its aggro target until that target dies (since nothing attacks it to draw aggro) which means that when fighting groups it will mostly just sit there trying and failing to reach its target.
Are you sure that this is 100% reproducible? I'm asking because I know you can get two pets without loading a save game. There's a known bug where you sometimes will resummon a pet and the old one will not go away (I think on a haywire result, but I'm not entirely sure). I know that every now and again, I get a duplicate pet (I don't often resummon a pet, if my old one is still alive).
I've gotten the double-pets bug every time I've loaded a save with a pet out, so it does seem to be reliable.
I have found this bug, and can reproduce it everytime. It seems that when you save and quit, the game forgets that you have a pet out. There is also no limit that i have found so far, so here is a screenshot of my character with 8 mustache golems out
