I noticed I could double up on Essence's essential skills by loading both the Steam Workshop and the physical mod. That got me thinking. What if I messed around a little and took 8 different Perception skills? Would I have 8 different 5% chances to proc Lucky Find? Could I use 8 different Eye Lasers if I got them all to level 6? Or if I took 7 Swords and a Duel Wielding, would they all give double bonuses for a grand total of 14 times the normal bonus?
It wouldn't work correctly if you took them all, due to IDs and names being identical and confusing the game.
You could edit each to work alongside the others, but like Kazeto said, it would require unique names and IDs for each and every skill, effect, and spell. You would however have a much easier time editing a copy to be a blatant cheat version that had a cooldown low enough you could use it every turn and much better odds of doing what you want. Then making a compensation skill that offers nothing really and loading up on that to make it remotely close to fair. But in truth, by the time you were done coding that mess you would likely not want to try it. Your call.
If a VeganVeganVeganVeganVeganVeganVegan punched a diggle at level 1, his max health could drop from 35 to -35. (and his mana from 14 to -56). Eep.
This is an interesting idea, though, just off the top of the head. Think about two Egyptian Magics, two Viking Magics, and three Leylines to keep up. So many goddamn buffs.
Wouldn't work due to the fact that the game keeps track of buffs by Icon, so you'd never get the second of each buff. Fun thought though.
That'd be an interesting project. Duplicate skills and icons to run two of the same skill. You might even automate it.
