Well, I've had Dredmor crash due to some shenanigans with my soundcard and SDL.dll, having purchased a new soundcard I was eager to see if it continued to crash somewhere in the midst of the third floor. Well, yes. It crashed on Floor 3, as is per the usual for me. But it's no longer SDL.dll triggering the crash, but Dredmor.exe. As also is as usual, the dmp file is 0 bytes in size, Dredmor forgot what mods were loaded, and both my manually created save file (Have been playing with permadeath off) and the autosave file vanished into thin air. Also the You Have to Name the Expansion text reverts to what it was before I'd changed it at the start of my play session. I thought I'd gotten the error message recorded, but my stream settings were not ones that let me stream the error window. So once again, the error message itself has eluded me. I did end up streaming the entire session, available here: http://www.twitch.tv/hellkat9940/b/472687278 The crash seemed to be triggered by my use of a Bolt vending machine. I'm wondering in the Autosave might be to blame? The autosave going "I'm saving stuff!" and just barging through when something else is going on, like opening a vending machine or changing a map, which are my most common crash triggers. The crash itself occurs around 4:09:54ish in the video.
Crashed again, No Time to Grind mode, this time whilst opening a door. Had the sound turned off/muted in the start up. The crash happened on the pirate ship floor, which I can never remember which one it is. Screencapped the error message, it's back to being SDL.dll https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42230002/Complete/SNAG-0072.png https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/42230002/Complete/SNAG-0073.png 0 byte bmp file, save and autosave vanished. It didn't reset the mods list to having no mods this time, however.
I've had save and autosave vanish mysteriously after crashes too (This is Steamcloud totally turned off BTW).
