I bought Dungeons of Dreadmor as well as all of the DLC's from steam. I was wondering if there was a way to play a DRM free version on my laptop.
It's all DRM free, I believe. I have Dredmor on both my laptop and desktop with no issues whatsoever. You can just run the executable without launching it from Steam.
Yeah. We're fairly actively anti-DRM around these parts. Once we get the Humble Store stuff more set up, you can just buy your own DRM-free copies directly from us. Cool, eh?
The very first thing I do upon downloading any new version is copy the entire directory and zipping it up so I have a backup incase something goes wrong or Steam/Gamefly/Desura go nuts for some reason. I then extract that copy to my Program Files directory and make a shortcut to play it from. You will never get Steam achievements this way until those are implemented in the game itself. (I believe Gaslamp has this on a back burner for a future patch anyway.) Praise where Praise is due: Gaslamp Games does not believe in using DRM.
BTW, Just for giggles, there is a movement you at Gaslamp could put to good use by adopting the DRM-Free logo. http://www.defectivebydesign.org/node/2243
