Hey guys, I have a new Youtube video up where I detail what the game is all about while playing on the hardest difficulty with only 1 life!

I'm new to Youtube but I already have several videos that I've made and they are all in high quality, so make sure you go check them out as well! Thanks for your support, and if you enjoy my content, feel free to like and subscribe as well as tell your friends about me! Thanks!

Great video, Verve. It's always nice to see other people enjoying this game, as I'm a huge fan as well.

A few tips (forgive me if you've figured out some of this stuff already (I'm watching the video as I type this).
    1. There's no hard limit on range for archery or thrown weapon skills, other than your ability to target a creature. HOWEVER, there is an LOS (Line of Sight) restriction on Archery, and levers, as well as many other fixed objects can block that LOS. There was no problem with firing to the other section of the dungeon, but there was a lever in between blocking your shot.

    2. Archery is not a bad skill, and as you noted, the fact that you can use up your arrows can cause issues. BUT it is not intended to be your sole means of combat. No successful Dredmor Dungeon Delver can get by on arrows alone. You CAN equip and use weapons without restriction, regardless of whether you have a skill for those weapons or not (the skills give you extra bonuses for using those weapons, as well as special attacks, but there is no actual penalty. The only penalty would be if you tried to equip two melee weapons when you do not have dual wield.

    3. I know that I'm in a minority, but I like having auto-pickup set for everything (it would save you from having to mouse over every object and plopping it onto your character every time). One much overlooked reason for that is that dungeon topography sometimes restricts your vision of objects, and having that setting overcomes that restriction. For example, if you shoot an arrow at a creature that is next to a lower(southern) wall or a bookcase, and that arrow is not consumed, you will not realize that unless you mouse over each space. However, if you simply walk over that space, and have auto-pickup set for arrows, you'll automatically gather it. (If you don't want to have that setting for everything, that's fine also -- you can choose what general types of items will be automatically picked up). It's largely a matter of taste, but as someone who knows my own imperfections and so likes to err on the side of caution, I always auto-pickup everything. It also helps to smooth out gameplay. It only potentially causes issues if your inventory fills up, but with the pocket dimension (where you can stow all your extra crap), it's not a huge deal.
