Dwarf Fortress Let´s plays, or sequential games and their journals, are one ofthe most fun things to read in my opinion. I am sure most will know "Boatmurdered", but for those who don´t, here´s a link: http://lparchive.org/Dwarf-Fortress-Boatmurdered/ Another good one is "Headshoots": http://lparchive.org/Dwarf-Fortress-Headshoots/ and it´s sequel "Syrupleaf": http://lparchive.org/Dwarf-Fortress-Syrupleaf/ Give these a try and feel free to post other good ones.
http://gemclod.goondorfs.net/ made last year, was quite good. I even had a dwarf in it though I don't remember him (oh right, her) doing anything spectacular though.
The only Dorf Fortress I recommend from anywhere is Towersoared, even though it isn't strictly an LP but a campaign journal.
Because Boatmurdered is so awesome people who aren't used to that level of epicness would explode after reading it. And we can't have people dying for real with DF, can we now?
Boatmurdered did sort of go south hilariously fast. Going south isn't all that much !!fun the umpteenth time you see it. I like reading about an epic fort which at least does half decently against the enemies arrayed against it.
