Basically, scratching messages for yourself on floors and walls that can be read later when you find them again.
Not a bad idea. "Elbereth" should get an easter egg, though definatly should not be as useful as in nethack.
Heck i wouldn't mind if it were as useful as nethack. A lot of the stronger monsters ignored it so it wasn't super-ultra-megapowerful but it was a good survival skill . But yes this would be lovely, especially in addition to map notes so you could mark teleporters and remind yourself where they go when you backtrack.
