So it goes. There is very random bug. A "forbidden" room spawns once per 2-4 floors. I just can't open any door leading to the room: instead of it game crashes. I have RotDG and YHtNtEP DLCs. I attach save file with the example. Heroine stands near the door of the room I can't enter.
I have the same problem, currently at lvl4 where I first encountered this. I have atleast 2 of this kinds of room at different parts of level. Bought and played via Steam on 64bit Linux.
Would it help to provide save game with such a door right next to character? As it is I have put Dremor on hold, it is unplayable in its current state.
Hello, got the same crashing issue running on linux steam beta with all extensions. Crashes randomly occurs when walking on traps or trying to open some doors. Providing my Dredmor folder, hope it can helps. Thanks for a great game !
I seem to have missed the schedule. When will this patch be released? And are there any user actions that can be taken to avoid crashing? Like moving around your inventory, waiting for monsters to spawn, etc? I am stuck in a mysterious portal level, and the one door leading further kicks me back to the desktop. Previously, the crash-doors have 'fixed' themselves if I avoided them for a while, but this one seems bent on keeping me from proceeding. It's a pity because I like the game.
I don't have an ETA for the patch but we're working on it. I'm not entirely sure what causes it personally, but I don't think it's something you can avoid. For your specific issue though you could start the game in debug mode and use the "go down stairs" key. (Start the game with the "-debug-flag" parameter and then press p when you're loaded)

Also note that Debug Mode eliminates the need to actually have the items for the crafting interface, so do not fret if you think you found a bug. (It is there so modders can easily test recipes without playing forever.)
