I have yet to think about what of each skill do and stuff. The only thing I have rite now are the icons and some general ideas about skills. Most of them are going to be area effect "curses" and buffs. I'll post them here and then I'll update this till it's time to release. Exotic Bard Guitar Learning / Dull Song Guitar Learning: Passive Skill. Dull Song: Active Ability. Small % to put enemies close to the hero to sleep. Heroic Poetry Heroic Poetry: Passive Skill. Rock Music / Cool Song Rock Music: Passive Skill. Cool Song: Active Ability. Lingering Rhyme Lingering Rhyme: Active Ability. Confuses enemies close to the hero. Enemies also get a decrease in Counter Chance and Dodge Chance for some turns. Heavy Metal / Fiery Song Heavy Metal: Passive Skill. Fiery Song: Active Ability. Voltaic Melody Voltaic Melody: Active Ability. Epic Synphony Epic Synphony: Active Ability.
Here's some ideas: -Voltaic Melody, Fiery Song and Cool Song are learned at the same time in a level upgrade. -Guitar Learning grants you a passive 10 EDR, because your fingers are nimble from hours of self-taught musical skill. -Boring Song lightly damages enemies by Existential and has a chance to put them to sleep. -Rock Music causes a barrier of rock-like blockers to arise all around you, dealing damage to enemies it catches. This allows you to catch a breather during a difficult fight. -Alternatively, Rock Music deals blasting and existential damage all around you, and locks enemies down, making them dance. -Cool Song, Fiery Song and Voltaic Melody all deal damage to every enemy in a two tile radius pertaining to their element, and Existential. Additionally, Cool Song deals extra damage, Fiery Song sets them on fire, and Voltaic Melody silences them. -Lingering Rhyme is a targetted spell that places a DoT on the enemy, which causes them to take Existential Damage each turn. -Heavy Metal deals heavy Existential damage around you, Blasting in a straight line in front of you, and knocks back the whole mess. -Epic Symphony is a buff that deals Existential Damage to every enemy around you in a wide area, every turn, for as long as the buff is up--it, however, drains mana at a rate of 1/1, so it's incredibly costy. I'm not sure if being based around Existential damage would make it OP, though. EDIT: Just realized you wanted them to be curses and buffs and stuff. Whoops!
No worries, lad. Some of your ideas can still work in some of them. Also, not all of them are going to be curses. Some should also be buffs. I was also thinking about making Guitar Learning, Rock Music and Heavy Metal passive skills. I'll expand this thread more this weekend, I still have the general idea written somewhere.
I love the fact that you start with icons and work from there. I can't be arsed to make even a half-hearted attempt at an icon until literally everything else is done and I can't find someone to make any for me.
Lol yeah. I kinda need the icons done first in order to come up with the rest. It's like I take the ideas from the pictures. I'm the other way around for some reason. xD The "side effect" is that I end up with a folder I always call "Unused" which contain Icons I didn't use in the mod. I usually include them in the mods anyways.
