Is there a way to prevent a spell or buff from effecting one particular type of monster, eg. it doesn't work on Sickly Diggles but does on other diggles and animals generally? Alternatively, is it possible to force (again eg.) Sickly Diggles to spawn with a buff already active?
I doubt you could spawn them with the buff, but is there any functional difference between that and forcing them to use said buff every turn they don't already have it, and making it last for ever?
The context here is that I'm adding a debuff that allows you to continue spreading the debuff to other monsters (similar to the diggle plague), but don't want the debuff to then hit the original monster who thematically should already have it.
