I have the new expansion and I loaded my game, wandered round a corner and hit an Inconsequencia random boss with my polearm. This caused the game to lock up and I had to ctrl,alt,del out of it. Now when I go back in to load again there are no saves there This was my best game yet so I will be very sad if it's lost! Anything I can do?
Look inside your documents/gaslamp games/ folder, see if there's still your save there (player.dredmorsave)... If not, there's nothing we can do, sorry We're working on a hotfix for these issues. There is one you can use meanwhile here http://patches.gaslampgames.com/dredmor/dredmor_hotfix_test3.zip but it won't work with achievements or workshop mods.
There is a save in there but I'm not sure it's the same one. Strangely the skill icons for the save game that disappeared were showing up as skills selected in a previous game and this is the save game that is in there. I'll try the hotfix but I can't find the files to replace with the zip files! (I'm on the steam version.)
