Hello. Recently I've installed a crapload of mods (around 20) and whenever I start the game I get this error: "Couldn't load PNG file sprites/Sword_Cold_shoulder.png. The game will now crash."
Any idea what might be causing it?

For a start it might help to list all the mods you installed, make things much easier for everyone trying to work out possible conflicts.

First of all, many of those mods are too old to be relied upon as working. They were made with older versions of the game and may have been broken since then by the patches and not updated. My number one suspect by far is VoM. (Vaults of Maslech.) I always try to blame any possible problem on Fax, and VoM was his doing. :D

I suggest disabling VoM and seeing if the error persists. If it does, then the next most likely is Monstrous Menagerie followed by FaxPax. To save time, try disabling all three of those and I bet it will work. From there if it still does not work, you basically have to turn every mod off and switch them on one at a time and start a character. If the mod you start has a skill tree, choose that skill when making a character. (Since sometimes errors will not be apparent unless the skill is used, and it would piss you off to no end to have a leveled character that gets deep in the dungeon only to find that they cannot proceed because a mod item only spawns below a certain level. So it is best to run into problems at the start rather than wait for them to creep up on you.)

I know it sounds like a real pain in the ass. And it is. But it can be worth it to get a working mod list with all the goodies.

I am rather surprised you do not have Roguish Renovations or Complete Essential Skills. Here are some links if you want them. I think that those two and a few more are the best, but I am an opinionated jerk, so feel free to ignore me. :)

It was Monstrous Menagerie. Now the error still displays (so it probably is something else too), but the game doesn't crash anymore and works fine. Thank you Omnia. I'll also try having a look at your suggestions when I get the time, although I don't really like skill mods that much (I prefer items/monsters or dungeon layout ones myself).
