How important is the sea?

Discussion in 'Clockwork Empires General' started by convolutedthinker, Jul 24, 2014.

  1. Seeing as we seem to start by the ocean in each new colony I was wondering how much we can utilize the sea? Will we be able to build docks and make port towns that receive their goods and colonists by boat while sustaining themselves on fish and fighting off the denizens of the deep?

  2. I could have sworn that I had heard something about fishing boats and such at some point, thus increasing tensions with the Fishpeople. I would like there to be more sea related things going on though. For instance, the trait that mentions "He likes the sea so much that he wants to just walk into it" could have interesting ramifications. One moment Robert Cunningham III is with his family working hard, the next you see him slowly disappear as we walks into the ocean, only to return as a fish person himself...

The short answer: Right now? It's not super important.

We want to make it way more important and interesting much in the way we've talked about.

If the sea isn't important why are my soldiers frolicking/plotting murder in it?
