Is there already any patch notes or something that says what will be implemented on the next patch? even tho the patch hasn't been released/implemented yet :/
The save files need to store the entire dungeon and everything in it. The memory leak is unrelated to that; it does mean that Dredmor takes about (guh) 20 megs less memory on load.
Btw, when the patch comes, how likely is it to break the existing mods (specially the rebalancers)? Fyi, Steam "just" loaded up fine for me. Must be an IO error.
I hope it doesn't mess up modded savegames, I'm going for the full Clockwork Knight equipment and it's going pretty well Anyway, an update is an update and of course, I'm not gonna complain for sure.
The new patch will almost certainly overwrite the rebalance files, requiring you to redownload and re-rename everything. Once that's done, however, you shouldn't have any problem using old saves. If the "secret new project" is something that makes the rebalances obsolete, well, I'll just recreate them.
