I cant upload mods to Steam Workshop

Discussion in 'Modding' started by FaustoMartense, Aug 13, 2012.

  1. I created a shortcut to the game .exe and added -publisher

    Code:
    "C:\Archivos de programa\Steam\SteamApps\common\dungeons of dredmor\Dungeons of Dredmor.exe" -publisher
But when I double click it, I got the following error: An error! Can´t talk to Steam Workshop! Is the Steam Client running?

The Steam Client is running and working properly but my shortcut doesnt seems to connect with it. Am I doing something wrong? What should I change to be able to upload a mod?

    Thanks in advance!

Does it say the same thing if you put -publisher in the game's Steam launch options and then launch it through Steam?

  3. I do not know if I got that right... The shortcut I usually use to play starts the game on Steam but since it is just a shortcut I cant change the path. (It just list the location of the shortcut, not the location of the game´s .exe. To put it clearer, it seems to be an Internet shortcut to trigger the game on Steam)

Right click dungeons of dredmor in your Steam Library, then go to properties and you should see a "set launch options" button.

  5. It worked! Thanks a lot.

This method should probably work with the debug mode too.
