I've tried telling Steam not to use the cloud. I've tried playing offline. But I get *one save* only. Every time I start the game after that it reverts to the very first time I saved the character losing all the progress made since then.
How did you "try telling Steam to not use the cloud"? There's one sure way to do it and it involves opening config.xml and changing the "enableSteamCloud=1" to 0.
I do deeply hate this game for it's savegame structure. It's a shame really since I like the look of the new Gaslamp steampunk thing - except I have long since decided to never buy anything from Gaslamp again.
I've lost saves with Steam Cloud turned off as well. (Not nearly as often though as when it was on.) There's definitely something fundamentally wrong with how this game handles saves.
