Suppose there is an item, something like VR goggles, that, as a side-effect, change the tileset to ASCII? Not as much pure ASCII, just ASCII-themed would be enough. I know it would require quite a lot of work to make this alternate tileset, but I think it's an fun idea nonetheless, quite in tune with the general nature of this game. Doable in a mod, perhaps?
