If you craft a stack of traps with tinkering skill, you can repeatedly set them and disarm them for experience. The trick to doing it is to always leave one trap in your inventory which has never been disarmed. When the disarmed traps stack with it, they will reset and can be disarmed again.
Woh. Isnt it even a bug in the first place that you can get XP from disarming your own traps at all ?
Yeah I thought you couldnt get XP from your own. Just a thought: Maybe you need to stack them with a non crafted trap ?
"The trick to doing it is to always leave one trap in your inventory which has never been disarmed" Obviously .
that's exactly what I'm confused about. how do you get an undisarmed trap in your inventory? all the traps I'm crafting are already disarmed. and you cant pick one up without disarming it.
Ehm, welp! I have no fucking clue. Sorry for being so cocky, but you're right. How the fuck do you get an undisarmed trap in your inventory?
Yup. That s why I said it s maybe just a code weirdness somehow when stacking crafted traps with regular traps found in the dungeon.
Personally, I don't think it makes sense to get experience at all from crafted traps! I mean, from a rogue point of view, you are getting experience because you find a trap that someone else understands and set, and you are getting better at identifying and taking it apart.
