Apologies if this has been covered before, but does anyone know how trade is going to work? Specifically can we obtain exotic trade goods from the homeland / foreign nations? Also will it be possible to setup one colony digging some rare thing and then create another that can then import it? (based on some percentage of total output maybe?) Will it be possible to survival purely as a commerce hub?
Our intention is to do something like this, yes. Specialization should be rewarded -- You shouldn't have to fill out the entire range of industrial infrastructure in every colony every time (which means you're playing basically the same game every time). So yeah, not that!
He is surprisingly quick. One wonders how. But sounds interesting. Another follow up question is how many foreign nations might there be
Anno 2070 had so much potential... and wasted nearly all of it.The basic settlement building was enjoyable but everything else including the tech / buliding tree and the enviroment were delivered blandly or broken. Seriously they locked about half the tech tree behind a semi random submarine encounter, and the later techs were virtually useless, providing no new abilities, just happiness / money buffs.
I wrote "specifically not like Anno" in my original reply on this post but removed it. But yeah. Specifically not like Anno because I think that making progression so static was a really unfortunate design for such a beautiful game.
"Clockwork Empires: Totally not like Anno" I think that would be a great new working title for the game !
