I find it annoying that you can't hear anything while crusting and grinding. I accidently used 18 Ingots of Iron for crusting, because I didn't know there was no sfx. Btw are there any restrictions on crusting? I made like 5 crustings and it's really is hillarious that you can't restrict adding new bonuses.
sfx: i don't think so, but I'm no expert on that crusting: in gets increasingly unstabile - you can see the unstability level in the description, so: more unstabile crust ->higher chance of unstability on every new crust it causes weird effects like fire fields or infestations on attacks (weapons) or getting hit (equipment)
what I meant was (instability of crusts is per say) 1. crust: 20 instability - adds 20 instability points 2. crust: 30 instability - 20% chance of destabilised equipment + 30 instability points 3. crust: 10 instability - 50% chance of destabilised equipment + 10 instability points etc. PS: if you crust the same encrust multiple times on the same item, the inst. points multiply, not add! also equipment can have up to 3 destabilisations (in description of item): lvl.1 - slightly unstabile lvl.2 - unstabile (i think) lvl.3 - dangerously unstabile
Each unstability is different, but you have to trigger it to know what it is, because it doesn't show in description (fixed in some patch I think), bigger lvl. means higher chance of side effect per hit. All Unstabilities effects: Grenade Does 18 blasting damage, 4 piercing damage, 6 slashing damage to you. Then, blasts for 5 blasting damage, 4 piercing damage, 12 slashing damage, centered on you. You seem to get hit with both. (a sure effect on worst idea ever) Easy Target Curse Reduces dodge by 15 for the next attack. Necropain Deals 1 + (0.1 x Magic Power) Necro Damage. This scales up with your Magic Power, just like the Necropain from the spell school. Tentacular Doom Hits you for 1 + (0.35 x your magic power) in Necro damage, makes a gas cloud, and makes you start bleeding. Shortly after, you Corpse Blast around you for some blasting, rot, and acid damage, scaling with your Magic Power. Then, a turn after that, you get punched with some Asphyxiative damage. Froda's Jump Discontinuity Random Blink. Vile Poison Reduces primary stats by 1, max HP by 8, health regen by 4, and deals 1 acid damage a turn for 30 turns.
Thanks for the detailed answer codebracker. Man, grenade thing is scary, though I wish there were more warrior based instabilities like based damage(man that would be an overkill ) or rougue based damage.
