After leading 4 characters to their horrible death, here's what I can say: - You get random level generation and (optional) permadeath like Nethack - Unlike Nethack, you know the effect of most stuff you pick up right away. - I haven't encountered yet any instant-death interactions like kicking a sink summoning a demon in Nethack - Tough situations with monsters abound and death is always around the corner, like Nethack Dungeons have much, much more details and flavor than a Nethack dungeon, with themed areas, altars to various Gods, etc. It's more like Dungeon Crawl Stone Soup in that sense, but with even more details. You also get hilarious Dwarf Fortress-style generated names for artifacts, dungeon areas and titles. The loot is very varied and is even more insane than Nethack's. Among the many skills you can pick from, there's a rather complex crafting system. There also many wacky schools of magic - I enjoyed summonning silverware golems.
