I went back to play again today after not playing for a long while. Now I remember why I stopped. I'm on the 10th floor and there is an issue where it seems some items have duped (not by me trying). If I pick them up and then save, the game just crashes. But I hate not picking up things!? Here is a video of it. Where the video ends is when the game crashes. Also it seems like every time the game crashes there is yet another copy of the item in the pile when I try again. I have: Realm of the Diggle Gods You Have To Name The Expansion Pack No mods

So it looks like your save got corrupted at some point during a conversion from a much earlier version of Dredmor (pre-1.1). But on the upside, it seems to save and load with no problems on the latest (unreleased) patch. So hopefully the next patch should fix your issue. Just in case, I recommend not picking up items on the floor you're currently on. Subsequent floors ought not to have any weird items on them.
Thank you for looking into this! Awesome sauce. Hopefully the new patch won't take to long to come out. That is the game I've gotten the most far would like try and go all the way with. I know I posted a few months back that my computer locked up while playing and I had to force restart the computer maybe at that point the game became corrupted. I know that I wasn't feeling up to playing anymore at that point between the lock up and losing progress because the Steam Cloud sync set my saves back and I think this was around the time my Achievements reseted. So I had not played again until recently.
