Hello! This is pretty brief. I've encountered 3 items now that have had +Wandcrafting on them. Equipping and un-equiping the item shows no change in crafting skill. The change appears in the character pane, however is not reflected in the wandcrafting panel and items that should be granted crafting are not craft-able. I have not encountered any items with +Craft skill to the other crafts so I cannot say for sure if this is exclusive to +wandcrafting. Cheers! ~FlaH
As I understand it this is a known issue stemming from the new wandcrafting ability using the same symbol as the old, deprecated, wand mastery trait. The latter is no longer mechanically relevant, but it was not removed from the random trait generator for Krong, and consequently shows up on items. Since it's not actually mechanically relevant, it's no longer on your character sheet. I just treat those as neutral artifacts for now, and they'll presumably fix that problem in the next legit (i.e. non-hotfix) push. I think crafting ability is not generally given by items at all.
Well, there are the tinkerer's goggles. Are they the _only_ example even including kronged items and other random things?
The +wandcrafting is remnant of wand skill previously found in the game and is NOT meant to affect wand crafting. Tinker Goggles are the only thing meant to add tinkering skill. Diggle gods can give +crafting skill buffs, but for the time being, just pretend the +wand crafting on items isn't there.
