Abstract: The 'Access the Steam Community' pop-up covers the 'Start Game' button in the Settings Launcher. When starting Clockwork Empires (either directly from the .exe, or from within Steam), it's necessary to get through the Settings Launcher. My issue with starting it within Steam is that the annoying "Access the Steam Community while playing" pop-up precisely covers up the 'Start Game' button. It isn't a terribly big deal, but I now run CE through a shortcut directly to the .exe, rather than through Steam for precisely that reason. I don't know if it's practical to move that button at this stage in development, but it's a tiny little thing that would improve player experience. Also, this is my first post on the forms. I've been lurking silently and reading the Dev blogs for at least a year, but my ego demands that I be able to say I participated in Earliest Access.
Please forgive my bad photoshop skills, but I feel something like this would be a simple solution to this problem...
It IS annoying. Had this problem with Crusader Kings 2 and EU4 at launch, IIRC. Couldn't find the damn start button for like 10 minutes. We'll investigate it; pretty busy today right before launch of course so no promises.
I don't know if it's relevant, but I just noticed that Dungeons of Dredmore does not have that pop-up, even though it has a similar launcher setup. In fact, I can't access the Steam overlay at all, in-game.
