I see from the design notes for Beta 54 that lights can now be attached to props and modules. Does this have any game effect? Is it possible to query the engine as to whether a particular entity is in light or darkness?
So they will eventually affect QoL and have a game side effect; I just haven't finished that code yet. I was hoping to finish it for 54 but other things happened, so it should be pretty quick.
Cool. Some interesting things can be done once colonists, monsters etc. can distinguish if they're in light or darkness. Thanks.
