Sometimes it takes about 5 minutes to move down a level. Saving can take another 5 minutes when I quit. Sometimes it takes so long I just assume it crashed and turn it off. The game saves however and I can load the game at a later time. It seems like it's looking for something. I'm on windows 7 on my companies computer. Everything is in My Documents.
I had this same issue and posted a thread here. Even though I'm on Windows XP, it is trying to find the domain and can't. http://www.gaslampgames.com/forum/discussion/839/unable-to-save-game-locks-up-completely/p1 My workaround is to restart the computer before playing when you're at home. That way it will not be trying to save to the domain version of My Documents. I also made a request to get to save the game to a different location, but I hadn't heard if they were considering that idea or not. Good luck!
