So, I just bought the game for the first time yesterday. My character was set up as: Dual Wielding, Master of Arms, Perception, Assassination, Big Game Hunter, Communist, Magical Law and non-permadeath (I'm still learning!) Game stopped responding at some random point. All of the animations on the screen where playing, mouse moved, I could still hover buttons (but tool tips weren't working.) I left it for about 5 minutes but it never came back. Alt-Tabbing back and forth did nothing. Had to kill the process. As soon as it went down, Steam popped up with an Achievement: "Suddenly the Dungeon Collapses" HAHAHA!! Awesome Save game worked but now it says it can't sync with Steam Cloud. Played more, fully leveled up Big Game Hunter and the game crashed completely this time, not just hang as before. Save game no longer opens (kicks back to menu.) I noticed I now have the "Dr. Livingstone I Presume" achievement. So, tl;dr... I guess achievements are crashing my game and ended up killing one of my saves, and there's no autosave for whatever reason.
