Hi, I'm new to the game and have been enjoying it quite a bit. My character is level 2, and regenerates mana every (6?) turns, but the mana also decreases for some reason. Is there some way to find out why the mana is going down? I have to drink something and quickly cast a spell afterwards, and if I walk around the dungeon it will eventually get to zero. Is my character cursed, or poisoned? Is it some item I'm carrying? I cannot find out what is causing this. Help!
Generally any effect that decreases Mana will show up on the left-hand side of the screen with an explanation of what's doing it and why.
This includes the effect from the Pan-Galactic Gargle Blaster -- which is why I generally will only use it with a non-caster, or very near the end of the game.
Yeah, every Buff that has a mana upkeep has a confusing little counter on it. It'll say something like 8/8 in little orange numbers, and then count down (4/8, 2/8, etc). When it hits 0 it will suck 1 mana from you and then the counter will reset to 8/8 (or whatever) again.
