Allows you to throw Acid Flask, that will cause Acid Pool and destroy corpses (reloading 40 turns) 4. Brutality - You're the cruelest adventurer that Dredmor's minions have been ever seen. 15% chance to debuff (-3, -3, -5) for 10 turns everyone around the hero after killing the enemy and make them run in fear. 5. Fear in the Dark - Everyone in this dungeon has a constant fear, that something always near... Allows you to become invisible for 15 turns. While you're invisible, you get Deadly Stab bonus (+50, +25; guaranted critical hit) 6. Reanimation - Such villain as you cannot be defeated so easy, you know. Grants you a possibility to get 0.4*level hp, when your health gets below 8 points. 7. Unkillable - During your "career" you had become a real killing machine and learnt how to resist most of damages. But you must still beware righteous maidens, explosions and refrigeration chambers. I didn't read any of the abilities. What stopped me was the thread title "Mass murderer" Are you saying that underlying theme of the skill is based on genocide? That's not appropriate for the stylistic flavor of this game. I could understand if it had some sort of gangster or organized crime type of theme, but "mass murderer" is definately not a very good way to present your idea. also, there is too much overlap with other skills that already exist. The skill itself is very similar to assassination. also, other skills are not possible due to game engine limitations. see the modding forum for more info on making mods. If you really want to see this in the game, your best bet would be to make it yourself.
I think he was leaning more toward Jason Voorhees than Jeffrey Dahmer or Adolf Hitler. Maybe calling it another name, like "Movie Monster" or "Crystal Lake Aficionado" or something would be more apropos.
Sorry, but i don't know English very well because my native language is Russian (but i'm from Ukraine). I dont know how it calls in English. Maybe "Slasher Villain" will be better. I didn't mean genocide and other similar things, it was "a reference to all those slasher movies" like "Friday, 13" and "A Nightmare On Elm Street", not real maniacs. I think it's a pretty nice source to parody - extraordinary vitality of main villain, his sneakiness, killing with cold arms from behind etc.
I think that's what he was going for. In any case, I sort of went with the idea and put the Avenging Executioner skill into the FaxPax mod. It's very...Sweeney Todd.
Out of curiosity, have you ever heard the phrases "Only Fools rush in, where Angels fear to tread?" Also, equating Mass Murder with Genocide is technically incorrect. But that's neither here nor there, and almost falls under semantics. It's a nitpick of mine, I know. That said, a serial killer style seems unique. And honestly, Jason Vorhees has killed probably hundreds of people by now anyway.
Hmm interesting maybe not a Killer set but perhaps a Skill tree that sets up for criticals form behind perhaps a spell that can turn creatures facing their backs towards you for like 2 to 3 turns and bonuses from hitting from behind
