So there is a room. I can walk into it, but as soon as I would uncover a specific tile, the game freezes and Windows tells me it crashes. I know the rooms a room from one of the mods (RR or ID, cause I think that those are the only two mods on the Workshop at the moment with rooms), but I don't know which one. Nor can I tell exactly what room it is (it has features of a lot of the mod rooms, but I can't see too far into the room before the freezing and crashing happens). Is there like an error log or something like that I can check to see exactly what went wrong or some other way to determine which room, exactly, is the culprit (or if it's even the room and not some item in it or something else like that)? I'm not worries about my game, I can just skip the room and go on my way. But if there is some way I can help squash a bug in a mod, that would be awesome, so I am just curious. Thanks!
Yeah, I can see some of it before the game crashes, but only a very very small portion...to be honest, I think it is one of the dragon themed rooms (it reminds me of one of the friendly dragon shrines/groves), but that is just pure speculation. It has a poster bill (white, non-ragged bill with black scribble txt) on the northern-most wall. I cannot actually mouse over and read it, because it shows up just as the game crashes. The room seems to be a big rectangle with a smaller rectangle in the middle separated by water (which probably has a path near the southern end leading into the smaller rectangle, but that is, again, pure speculation). It also has a tree on the north-western corner of the inner rectangle, a type of tree I have only ever seen in modded rooms (this is the feature that makes me positive it is a mod room). And, unfortunetly, other than it being on level 8 and the door I enter by is about 2 squares to the east of the north-western most corner of the room, I don't really have any other info I can provide.
Someone may know just the room and be able to check it with that information. Give it some time. (It may take an hour or two before someone who knows about this can check if the room works for them.)
No worries, like I said, it doesn't really affect me a ton, but if I can help people work out bugs in their mods, maybe when I get started modding here very soon people will help me too!
Well, that is unfortunate...so my game just crashed from some unknown reason, while not in that room, and now I can't load any game (that game or any other saved game I had). I can start new games, but whenever I load, I get a Windows error message (not the freeze I had before) and BAM, I have to close the game...oh well...time for a new character I guess. Too bad too, that guy was wrecking face LOL
If the room was on level 10, you probably stumbled on a boss encounter. All Obsidia content is my responsibility. However, from your other posts, it seems like you have a more general problem with DoD. I've checked all the Obsidia rooms, and they are loading just fine.
It was level 8, but like I said, it being an Obsidia (couldn't remember her name before) room was just a complete guess from having played with your (very awesome) mod many, many times. Either way, matters little now, and if your Obsidia rooms check out, then it was probably something other than the room anyway. Thanks for checking though!
