The need for some culture!! 'What do you mean this isn't New Sogwood? I told NCO Peachy Buttwood that he was holding the map upside down but would he listen!'
Well I went and done Fine Art for three years and got a 2:1 degree in it and still don't know ' What is the Art'. Mind you I spent most of the time drunk, naked, covered in paint and feathers and called everything I done performance Art. I'll find a photo and upload it as my avatar. In the screenie it's all the various pictures available to all houses in a upper class house. I noticed that when I built a upper class house with a picture on the wall all types of colonists were wandering in to have a gander at the picture - so thought a Art Gallery would add an extra free building that actually attracted visitors. Which is nice.
I noticed this a couple of revisions ago, and tried again recently but can't seem to get it to trigger. Unless it only triggers for certain paintings, then it's borked.
I didn't know you could do that. I got into the habit of just making very basic buildings without decor. I think these are the first pictures I have put on any walls in the game. Now I know that colonists go and look at them I am going to make a national gallery. Bugger muskets I am going to cut down all the trees for picture frames and treat the fishmen to a grand exhibition of pretty pictures.
I have started adding windows to many of my buildings... I've considered adding exterior lamps, and will certainly do so if/when they actually provide illumination... perhaps by shrinking the colonist light circles at night and relying on lamp posts and light fixtures...
