Apparently a random idea now has me staying godawful early up in the morning, doing "modding" or something, which apparently only amounts to "thinking up humorous things to add to text.db" I have the original and berg's text.db from ID so I don't end up repeating these things, and have been coming up with random names like "The Wonderful Wizard of Foo" and "Hungry Hungry Foo" and a bunch of ichors I've been randomly thought up ("it collapses into a pile of cats and little bits of itself"). Random/Insult Text is especially fun (with gems like "You hear above you a faint tapping noise, and the clicks of a button" and "You sense the creators of this game are plotting your demise") Would anyone actually be interested in an entirely non-game-altering flavor mod that just adds more humorous names to things?
To be honest it's quite challenging figuring out what goes where, with some modifiers (like quality and adjective) being partially ambiguous. I'm having a hard time not just coming up with content, but deciding in which modifier it goes. On the other hand, thinking up insults and random text is still quite fun. Just a couple more to pique interests (to be honest I haven't come up with all that many so far though) It helps I have an entirely randomized thought process, I guess if I'm accidentally copying from anything else, I've only played the game vanilla and with Interior Dredmorating, so I wouldn't know if anything I put out is related to other mods. It would be quite difficult to keep track of all of them at once, though, Bound to be some similarities somewhere.
