Windows Vista/7 64-bit No level descent

I'm not sure at which point it occurs but I can't leave level 1 at all. This has started since I bought the conquest of the wizardlands. This is the second character that I have had problems with, with the latest one I kept using downward stairs to check and there was no distictly new thing that I did to cause this issue.

 

i have this same issue. I am using windows xp sp3. i will upload my save later today.

 

I think i might of accidently deleted it, I will try and recreate the situation. Where are the saves kept? I have another save where I got past this problem but now the game crashes to desktop if I ty to enter my pocket dimension.

 

Saves are kept at [your user directory]\Documents\Gaslamp Games\Dungeons of Dredmor

It might be a little different if you're on XP, but find wherever the documents folder is and look for gaslamp games.

The saves now each create their own folder.

 

Right this is the one that crashes to desktop when I try and enter my pocket dimension. I have a theory about the no descent problem which I will check out now

 

ach thought it might of been dying on floor 1 that was causing the problem but it didn't seem to cause the problem of not being able to descend

 

I am stuck on the first floor when you approach the descending stairs is it that nothing happens? Your character just stands there?

 

yeah he just stands in the stairs floor square but no transistion occurs

 

hmm apparantly as well as the game crashing when i try and access the pocket dimension i also can't ascend from level 2 to level 1 and i'm uploading that save as i'm not sure if the same issue occurs in the version i uploaded earlier.
