DL14. In the SW area, a small shop was discovered with 2 items on the table and No Brax in sight, but his red mat/carpet was there. A small room with 6+ monsters is immediately to the East behind a door. When I kicked the door open, I was already getting hit by spells (I don't know which ones) that Brax had attacked me with on a previous level. I was randomly being teleported around the area, flame bombed, etc. I don't think the monsters in the room could cast these spells. I half cleared the room and the weird spells stopped. I was thinking Brax was invisible. After clearing the room, I went back and looted the 2 items off the table and was notified that I was stealing items. Again, Brax was nowhere in sight. Nothing happened after that. No demons, no Brax, nothing.
Actually, I realised I was very wrong in this post. I confused 2 floors. Everything I wrote is true, except the 2 shops on the same floor. OP edited. I'll see if I have an appropriete save, but the save does have Interior Dredmorating v1.1? (next to latest). Exactly what save file(s) do I zip up? My Autosave seems to be intact, but it was saved after I cleared out the shop and dug out all the walls around it.
Done (This post is mainly to send you an alert. ) And I forgot, I did have the music pause/change. I turned the music off and spaced that little fact. Editing OP again  Sigh... time to start drinking so I can have an excuse.
This might be worth mentioning to the devs if they look at this: I know from modding that if you use the <horde /> code in the room definition of a shop, it sometimes weirdly over-writes Brax with a monster. Brax ends up deleted, and instead of getting a horde you just get a single monster that is colored oddly as though it were a boss monster, but has just normal description and doesn't seem to be any tougher than usual. I don't think I ever used that in any version I've released of the Interior Dredmorating as I'm pretty sure I discovered it early in my playtesting of my mod. (Nor do I plan to use it, because it was unpredictable and only happened maybe 1 time in 5 when placing a horde in the shop.) Just the same, I figure if it can happen when there's a mod telling it to place a horde, maybe it can happen when the game randomly places hordes on the map. Shops don't have the "nomonsters=1" code, IIRC, so in theory the game could place a horde in a shop either from a sidequest or just as part of typical level building. I've never seen it happen, but I can't rule it out either. Might give the devs some place to start looking for the source of the problem.
