To be simple do abilities like Piracy's Plunder or Perception's Lucky/ier/iest Find work at the same rate when you play a speed game ( 2x exp, smaller levels ) by doubling in occurrence or no? In my experience, lacking as it is, the answer to that is "no" but what do I know? I figured you would.
No - those abilities are tied to player actions, and with NTTG (No Time To Grind) the player takes about half as many actions - so the proc benefits from those abilities are similarly reduced. NTTG is a lot of fun - but it's a very different experience. You can get levels without shops, and buying/selling/crafting becomes much more variable overall.
Then I guess NTTG isn't for me! Or rather I need to redo my combos and try something else. Thank you for the answer.
NTTG works great if you play an all-melee character with heavy armor & block (such as Axes, Shield Bearer, Master of Arms, Assassination, Berserk, Smithing, Battle Geomancer) or a glass-cannon wizard (Promethean, Mathemagic, Blood Magic, Alchemy, Staves, Dual-Wield, Burglary).
