Pangolins!

I think pangolins would be great in Clockwork Empires!

They'd be a good fit given what creatures we've seen thus far: they're exotic, unusual, cute, coated in scales and mostly extinct! But really they're just plain cool.

So, other folks: why do you think pangolins are so excellent? What other critters do you think would be interesting or inspiring for CE given the game's setting and premise?

Pangolins are adorable, they're also pretty sharp.

 

But what would their wanton slaughter provide to the Empire's industry? Just meat, scales for close quarters steam armor?

 

If CE ends up anything like dwarf fortress I imagine they'd make excellent throwing weapons.

 

In dwarf fortress EVERYTHING is an excellent throwing weapon.

 

Why would you throw them when you could launch them from Perfectly Safe steam cannons?
