So out of curiosity I tried this today. I was on permadeath, pressed ALT+F4 and the game went to the game menu without saving, is this a bug or intended? It's weird because you shouldn't be allowed to exit the game without saving, and this does that. Thanks, and keep up with the great work!
Alt+F4 is used to force close the current program/window. Shouldn't really ever be used unless necessary/an emergency(like your boss coming into the room! ;p )
Intrinsic, Alt-F4 doesn't work like that in Dungeons of Dredmor. It drops you back to the main menu. It's what I use to get away from really bad Krong rerolls. Save before using the Anvil, and then Alt-F4, reload game, and try to get something positive. I know it's cheating, but it's how it's programed into the game. I'll consider it a feature with unintended side effects. Hopefully they won't fix it until they change how Krong anvils work. It also has nothing to do with Permadeath, it works exactly the same without Permadeath on.
